After the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011 , a lot of support and prayers were sent from all over the world. Their support and prayers were truly a " light " for a Japan that was plunged into darkness.
Many prayers were offered for Japan around the world and many support rallies were held.
Many VIP celebrities also took action.
Despite the risk of aftershocks and nuclear power plants, Cyndi Lauper arrived in Japan on the day of the disaster and continued to stay there to support Japan, then Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard visited the disaster-stricken areas in April immediately after the disaster to encourage the victims, the 14th Dalai Lama visited the disaster-stricken areas twice to offer prayers for the souls of the deceased, and King Wangchuck of Bhutan told stories about dragons to children in Fukushima. Many other famous people have also taken action in many ways.
It is practically impossible to keep track of all of these numerous support activities, but we have collected and organized as much information as possible in order to express our gratitude to people around the world and to weave the memories of this "support and prayers" and "relay of goodwill " into the future.
